Electrical Parts

Lift trucks as well as other forklifts can have specific labels for use in certain hazardous locations. The label denotes that this certain model of forklift meets the minimum standards of ANSI/UL 553 utilized for electric forklifts or ANSI/UL 558 used for internal combustion engine lift trucks.

The application for labels intended for lift trucks could be found in National Fire Protection Association NFPA 505 - Powered Industrial forklifts including: Areas or Use, Maintenance and Operation, and Type Designations. Ask your local insurance carrier and Fire Marshall for more info on the approved uses of industrial powered trucks in your application.

If the specific forklift satisfies the outlined criteria, labels can be placed. A labeled forklift will show the type of designation located on the nameplate and would have a correctly corresponding label put.
